Programme structure

The master's degree consists of:

  • 50 credits of compulsory courses
  • 10 credits elective course
  • 60 credits master’s thesis.

All courses in this programme option are taught in English.

Er du norsk statsborger kan du også søke om å få fullføre studieretningen med emnet JOUR4900 – Internasjonalt prosjektsemester medievitenskap og journalistikk i ditt 3. semester og 30 ECTS masteroppgave i 4. semester.

I JOUR4900 er du hospitant et semester ved en norsk utenriksstasjon hvor du vil få internasjonal mediefaglig erfaring. Da studieretningen Political Communication: Nordic Perspectives har obligatoriske emner i første og andre semester, er det på ditt 3. semester at dette kan gjennomføres. Ditt studieløp vil dermed se slik ut:

The master's thesis

The master’s thesis is an independent research project. All students will be assigned a thesis supervisor at the beginning of the programme. Read more about the master thesis at the Department of Media and Communication.
