Programme structure
The master's degree consists of:
- 50 credits of compulsory courses
- 10 credits elective course
- 60 credits master’s thesis.
All courses in this programme option are taught in English.

- MEVIT4425 – Offentlighetens historie i et medievitenskapelig perspektiv (in Norwegian)

Please contact the IMK's section of studies to discuss this option.However, please note that you have to contact the departments in question directly regarding admission, and that the admission is subject to availability.
3. Courses without teaching, such as:

Er du norsk statsborger kan du også søke om å få fullføre studieretningen med emnet JOUR4900 – Internasjonalt prosjektsemester medievitenskap og journalistikk i ditt 3. semester og 30 ECTS masteroppgave i 4. semester.
I JOUR4900 er du hospitant et semester ved en norsk utenriksstasjon hvor du vil få internasjonal mediefaglig erfaring. Da studieretningen Political Communication: Nordic Perspectives har obligatoriske emner i første og andre semester, er det på ditt 3. semester at dette kan gjennomføres. Ditt studieløp vil dermed se slik ut:

The master's thesis
