As you have probably discovered by now, the final exam has been set to December 16 & 17. As discussed earlier, this means that the deadline for sending me the essays is two weeks before that, meaning Friday December 3.

Since I just discovered that it was difficult to find them, the complete notes from the last time the course was lectured (in 2019), including my changes to Chapter 1 for this year, can be found here. This so that you can read ahead, and have some idea of what is coming. Note that I will be making revisions, in particular to Chapter 2 and beyond.

The first lecture of the term will be Monday August 23. We will discuss the structure of the course and start making some plans for the exams, so it is quite important that anyone that intends to follow the course and take the exam shows up.
