Plans for the week of May 4-8
Dear all and welcome back to FYS5419/9419. We hope you had a great weekend.
This week we will continue with a more detailed discussions of quantum neural networks, adding to this a discussion on how to encode the inputs (a topic we glossed over last week). We will also discuss detailed implementations of quantum neural network with their pros and cons before we move over to applications of quantum physics informed neural networks and how to solve differential equations with them. The plan this week is thus
- Quantum neural networks and Quantum Physics Informed Neural Networks (QPINNs)
- Solving differential equations with QPINNs
- Teaching material in different formats at https://github.com/CompPhysics/QuantumComputingMachineLearning/tree/gh-pages/doc/pub/week15. For the PDF file go to https://github.com/CompPhysics/QuantumComputingMachineLearning/blob/gh-pages/doc/pub/week15/pdf/week15.pdf
The jupyter-notebook at https://github.com/CompPhysics/QuantumComputingMachineLearning/blob/gh-pages/doc/pub/week15/ipynb/week15.ipynb is a companion to the PDF file. We have avoided discussing codes in the PDF file. The mathematics is detailed in the PDF.
Our last topic this semester deals with quantum Boltzmann machines and will be discussed next week, May 13. Our last lecture with summary and discussion of project 2 is May 20.
Best wishes to you all and cya soon again.
