Welcome

Hello, and welcome to MAT2410 - Introduction to Complex Analysis!

Lectures will be held by me on Mondays and Thursdays, while Aleksander Leraand will be doing the exercise sessions on Tuesdays.

We will follow Gamelin's textbook Complex Analysis, chapters I to VIII + IX.1, with some omissions. The precise syllabus is found here, and a plan for our progression, where suggested weekly exercises will shortly be added, is found here.

There are two mandatory written assignments in the course, due 01 October and 29 October. Each assignment will be posted on this page two weeks before the due date. Submit your solutions in Canvas; solutions for both assignments must be submitted in order to qualify for the final exam. 

The grading of assignments is maximally lenient: any submitted solution counts as passing the assignment. That said, these are your main chance at writing practice and feedback before the final exam, so a serious attempt is worth the effort.
