Here is a small reminder about the revision lectures next week:

I plan to do the following:

Monday: geometric properties of schemes, examples

Tuesday: Quasi-coherent sheaves, sheaves on Proj, cohomology

Wednesday: ??

The oral exam will take place on June 6th, room 720. If you haven't done so already, please let me know by Tuesday 27/5 if you intend to take the exam.

The exam will be June 6/6 (after 12).

The compulsory assignment in this course is an oral presentation. If you are planning to take the exam, and haven't given a presentation already, please contact me as soon as possible, so we can find a suitable time for your presentation.

In the first lecture, I will begin with the spectrum of a ring. The material will cover chapter 2 of the notes.

The first lecture will be Monday March 31st.

Introduction to Schemes

I will be going through the Chapters 1 and 3 relatively quickly (since these topics are mostly covered in MAT4210). These chapters are still very important, so I recommend reviewing them on your own.
