In addition to the final exam (which is common to STK-IN4300), PhD students are required to hold a presentation on a topic related to the course. It can be something from their own research project or the content of a suitable research paper (please contact me to agree on one).
The presentations must be given on Wednesday, 18 November, during the usual lecture time (12:15-14:00), and should last around 15 minutes.
Please provide me with the title of the presentation by November 13th.
The text of the second mandatory assignment has been published both on this webpage and in Canvas.
The assignment must be submitted via Canvas by Tuesday 10th Novemeber at 14:30.
The text of the first mandatory assignment has been published both on this webpage and in Canvas.
The assignment must be submitted via Canvas by Tuesday 6th October at 14:30.
Just a reminder that tomorrow (09.09.2026)'s class is cancelled due to the funeral of the former king.
As we will not have new material this week, the exercise class next week (15.09.2026) is also cancelled.
See you again on Wednesday 16.09.2026
For those who could not attend the first lecture, here is some information:
- the classes will follow the structure: exercises on Tuesday, theory on Wednesday;

- the first mandatory assignment will be available on week 38 and will be due on Thursday, 1st October.
