The exam in STK4080 consists of an exam project and a written exam. The exam project, which will not be the same for everyone, will test the practical skills of the students, while the written exam mainly will concentrate on the more theoretical sides of the course (but some more practical questions may be asked as well).
The students will get their projects at the lectures Friday November 14th, and the deadline for handing in (or e-mailing) the written solution to Ørnulf Borgan (borgan@math.uio.no) is Friday November 28th at 2 pm. Students who do not attend the lectures Friday November 14th should contact Ørnulf Borgan no later than Tuesday November 18th to get their exam projects.
To read the data for your exam project into R, you should use the command:
read.table("http://www.uio.no/studier/emner/matnat/math/STK4080/h08/computing/data.txt", header=T)
with "data.txt" replaced by the name of the file given for your project.
If you have problems with reading the data or other "technical problems", you should contact Ørnulf Borgan.
The written exam will be held Wednesday December 10th at 2.30 pm.
