Prepare for ISS Summer Courses
1. Accept your Offer of Admission
Log-in to the application portal and accept your offer of admission
2. Pay Course Fee
- Read about how to pay the course fee
- Payment must be made in full - a payment plan is not possible. Please make sure that your budget can accommodate the course fees before you apply.
3. Make Housing Arrangements
To make the most of your ISS experience, we recommend staying with other students at the ISS student accommodation with fellow students. Students who have not selected ISS housing are responsible for securing their own accommodation.
4. Apply for Visitor’s Visa
The visa process can take several weeks or months so remember to apply in due time. See more information about visas.
5. Health Insurance
You are required to have valid health insurance during your stay at ISS. See more insurance information here.
6. Make Travel Arrangements
Start planning travel in due time and pay close attention to changing travel regulations. See our tips on travel planning.
Schedule & Reading List
The schedule, reading list, and exam information for 2027 will be available in Spring. To get an idea of the course, visit the course page and select semester information from a previous year.

Social Activities
ISS arranges social and cultural events for summer school students.
Exam Results
You can check your results and order transcripts in Studentweb three weeks after the exam.
Speak Up System
We strive for a safe and engaging learning environment and need feedback from the students to improve.
On the Speak Up website you find different ways of speaking up about the learning environment, and knowing step by step what will happen if you speak up and where you can get support. Issues can you speak up about:
- What you appreciate and would like UiO to do more of
- Bad aspects of your physical or social learning environment
- Harmful, dangerous, unethical or criminal offenses
- Bullying or sexual harassment
