The International Summer School (ISS) offers intensive Master's and Bachelor's courses over six weeks. We are hosting almost 600 students this summer!

Academic guidelines for the International Summer School

In general, ISS adheres to the same academic rules and regulations as outlined by the University of Oslo. However, since most of our students do not reside permanently in Norway, the ISS has a series of procedures to accommodate our operations.

Terrorist threat against Oslo

Due to the terrorist threat against Norway and in particular Oslo announced by the police today, we have the following to report pertaining to the University of Oslo (UiO) and the International Summer School (ISS):The central crisis management team at UiO is in constant contact with the Norwegian Police Security Service  (PST).

PST does not at the present time consider UiO and the ISS to be in any danger, and all activities will proceed as usual until we receive any message to the contrary.

The central crisis management team has been informed about all ISS activities, and there will be extra security at Chateau Neuf in connection with the International Cultural Evening on Friday, July 25.All contact with PST is handled through the UiO central management team, and the ISS leadership will be constantly updated on any danger which might be relevant to our activities.

We will post further relevant information as soon as it is available.
