*Before the Easter break we studied the general theory of rings and fields, up to the definition of ideals and quotient (factor) rings. Now we will begin to apply this theory to the study of polynomials and their roots.
We start with section 27 and the fundamental concepts of prime and maximal ideals, especially in the context of polynomial rings over fields.
