Fulbright

The U.S.-Norway Fulbright Foundation for Educational Exchange has a scholarship program for graduate students from U.S. The Fulbright U.S. Student Program also offers English Teaching Assistantship (ETA) awards.

How to apply

Students interested in studying at The University of Oslo (UiO) with a Fulbright scholarship, either as an exchange student or as a full degree student, should contact a professor or faculty directly to obtain a letter of invitation before they apply for the scholarship and admission.

Students who wish to enrol in a full degree programme with the Fulbright scholarship need to apply to the programme within the given deadlines in addition to applying for the Fulbright grant. See the list of study programmes offered in English.

The U.S. - Norway Fulbright Foundation will notify the Educational Quality Office at the University of Oslo about which candidates are offered the scholarship. These students will be registered at UiO as bilateral students.

Courses

Fulbright students at the University of Oslo may follow most courses at master and Ph.D. level.
