Programme structure
In the programme option Geohazards and geomechanics, you will take a mandatory and recommended course the first semesters. The courses are a total of 60 ECTS credits. You start with the Master's thesis in the second or third semester, depending on your selection of courses.

- GEO4120 – Near-Surface Geophysics
- GEO4131 – Geomechanics / Recommended course: - Selection of course depends on whether you have taken GEO3131 - Geomechanics or similar, or not. If you have taken geomechanics, you choose a course from the recommended list below.

- GEO4151 – Earthquake and Volcanic Processes
- GEO4432 – The Surface Energy Balance in Cold Environments
- GEO4515 – Remote Sensing (overlap with GEG2240) / GEO4520 – Advanced remote sensing and topographic analysis
- GEO4460 – Surveying, Photogrammetry and Spatial Analysis (overlap with GEO3460)
