A new an upgraded Computer Problem set is now ready for downloading. It contains six problem sets. Four of them are obligatory and must be approved by me before the oral exam. Furthermore, three of them must be Problem sets nos. 1-3. The fourth may either be Problem set no. 4 or 6. I hope to hand out graphs of the solutions for problem sets nos. 4, 5 and 6 on Wednesday.

Upgrade of Computer problem #3 is available for downloading. Misprintings and errors in the previous realease on 21.10 is corrected. Also some hints on how to solve Part 3 is now included. ... lars petter

New and updated version of Computer Problem #2 only is now available for downloading. A few misprints have been corrected. Sorry for the confusion this may have caused some of you.

The leaflet GEF4510-CoPr.pdf has been changed. It is now updated for fall 2009. In particular I have changed the Preface and Computer Problem #1. The error to be computed is (Z[sub:i+1] -Z[sub:i])/Z[sub:i], which is the required formula for the relative error. The one in the former text was the absolute error.

The lecture on Wednesday 9th of September is cancelled.

We're on the run! Next lecture is held by Gunnar Wollan. I'll be showing up again on the 14th of September. On that Monday you have to be prepared to turn in your first exercise, namely Exercise 1 in the GEF451_CoPr.pdf which is now ready for downloading. Første utgave av "Lecture Notes" er lagt ut (se under "Undervisningsmateriale"). Det blir sikkert noen endringer underveis så dersom du har tenkt å skrive det ut ikke skriv ut mer enn tom kapittel 3.
