The lecture will have two parts. In the first part, meta-modelling is explained and how it is related to compilers. This will in particular be related to the OMG four-level architecture and the MOF. The second part is relating meta-models and abstract grammars: how to come from abstract grammars to meta-models and what are the benefits of meta-models.
