The project exam is available here . The deadline is Thursday 29 November. Note that you are not allowed to collaborate with others on the project exam. (The albumin concentrations are measured in g/dl, not mg/dl. This have now been corrected.)

The exam in STK4080/9080 consists of a project exam and a written exam. The project exam will test the practical skills of the students, while the written exam mainly will concentrate on the more theoretical sides of the course (but some more practical questions may be asked as well).
The project exam will be made available Thursday 15 November, and the deadline for handing in (or e-mailing) the written solution to Ørnulf Borgan (borgan@math.uio.no) is Thusday 29 November. Note that you are not allowed to collaborate with others on the project exam.
The written exam takes place 11 December at 2.30 pm, see here for further information. You should bring an approved pocket calculator at the written exam, but otherwise no aids are permitted. The problems for two earlier written exams are available here...
Wednesday 31 October, 4-6 pm, Statistics for Innovation organizes a Career Day for masters and phd students in statistics and related fields. The Career Day takes place at the Norwegian Computing Center (Norsk Regnesentral) that is located at the top floor of Kristen Nygaard's house (the old Informatics building). The Career Day is a good opportunity to meet a number of employers and hear about their activities and the possibility of building a career with them! The trial project gives a nice illustration on the practical use of a number of the statistical methods in chapters 3 and 4, and it illustrates how the project exam may look like. The students should make an extra effort to do the trial project, and those who are interested may hand it in for correction. The deadline is Monday 29 October. Comments on the solution of the trial project will be given in week 44.
I have been made aware of some errors in the solutions to the exercises for weeks 39 and 40. These have now been corrected.

The first day of teaching in STK4080/STK9080 is Friday 24 August. That day there will be lectures 12.15-15.00 in room B534 in NH Abel's house .
