Are you new to exams at the University of Oslo?

SV-info will present the basics and inform you about rules that apply for examinations at the Faculty of Social Sciences.

You can ask questions after the presentation.

There has been a technical issue regarding the candidate numbers for SOS2700.

It is now fixed, and you should only have the same candidate number for your written exam as well as your school exam SOS2700.

Please dobble check your candidate number in the StudentWeb, to make sure you got the same number for both examinations in SOS2700.

If you still have different numbers, please contact Hilde Omberg: hilde.omberg@sosgeo.uio.no.

You may find your candidate number for the assignment in SOS2700 in your StudentWeb account, under "your examination".

Guidelines for your assignment

Please go through the guidelines for your assignment, and remember that your assignment must be delivered in two paper copies at Harriet Holters house, as well as uploaded in Fronter before the final deadline. Allow yourself plenty of time for printing out your paper before deadline.

Please check that you have access to the folder. The folder is located in the main Fronter-room under "archive". You may upload your paper already...

Due to transport issues caused by the "strike", seminar 3 and 4 are cancelled Wednesday 12th. The seminars are moved one week ahead, to Wednesday 19th.

Please note that there has been a change in when the topics of the lectures are scheduled. The current schedule is the correct one, and "Social and religious movement theory" will be the topic for the lecture September 13th.

Inger Furseth's book “Religionens tilbakekomst i offentligheten? Religion, politikk, stat og sivilsamfunn i Norge siden 1980-tallet” is now available in English.

Due to the delay of the publishing, English speaking students may borrow a copy of this book in our reception desk at Harriet Holters house.

English title of the book: “Religion back in the Public Sphere? The Nordic Countries since 1980”.

Please note that the copy is only available for our English speaking students.

Due to a lot of interest in the course this semester, one extra seminar group has been opened - seminar 1.
