You are cordially welcome to participate in this three-day conference on climate, weather and carbon risk in energy and finance. The conference will gather academics and practitioners, discussing the latest advances on the stochastics of risk measuring, modeling and managing, with a focus on energy systems, markets and finance (ESG).

Key topics involve modelling uncertainty in weather and climate, optimisation problems related to energy systems to control emissions, as well as measuring risk factors related to climate change. 

There will be several invited talks by leading researchers as well as selected contributed talks by participants.

Living in Hong Kong is to witness history as it unfolds. The city was handed over from the British Crown to the Chinese Communist Party in 1997, and is globally known as a skyscraper-lined economic powerhouse. It is also the site of intense political struggle. The talk brings together two Hong Kong activists who have shaped historical events and an historian who has studied them.

Adolfo is Assistant Professor in the Department of Social Anthropology and Social Psychology (Complutense University of Madrid).Tomás is Senior Researcher at the Chair of Urban Anthropology and Director of the Stadtlabor of Multimodal Anthropology, Humboldt-University of Berlin. In the next STS methods lab, December 8, we are excited to welcome anthropologist Emily Martin (NYU) in conversation with evolutionary biologist Kjetill Jakobsen, and immunologists Shou-Wang Qiao and Finn-Eirik Johansen from the UiO: Life Science Convergence Environment COMPARE, on the challenges, approaches, and concepts of immunology ‘before and now’.
