Summer schools

On this page you find information about different summer schools. You can check with your study programme if you can use the credit in your degree and if you are eligible for support from the Norwegian State Educational Loan Fund.

Summer schools via UiO

The summer schools listed below are open to most UiO students. You must apply for nomination through Søknadsweb by February 15.

The Faculty of Humanities

The International Summer School at UiO

If you are unable to go abroad for summer school, you can join The International Summer School (ISS) at Blindern.

    Social Entrepreneurship

    Social Entrepreneurship runs part time during the spring semester and full time during summer. You can earn 30 ECTS credits and it is possible to follow the programme alongside a full time degree. You will get first hand knowledge of social entrepreneurship through a combination of theory and practical work. The places of study are UiO and the University of Cape Town, South Africa. The programme is coordinated by UiO's Centre for Entrepreneurship.

    Gründerskolen

    Gründerskolen is a summer programme in entrepreneurship that combines theory and practical work with an international experience in one of the world's best innovation hubs. The programme is credit bearing and is coordinated by UiO's Centre for Entrepreneurship.

    UNICA

    UiO is a member of UNICA, Network of Universities from the Capitals of Europe. Here you can find a list of UNICA summer schools in Europe.

    Summer schools – direct application

    If you would like to apply to an institution where UiO does not have a summer school agreement, you need to apply on your own and directly to the summer school in question. Please note that deadlines vary.
