Study offers for refugees

The University of Oslo will help newly arrived refugees in Norway to continue their studies. We offer several study options.

Master's degree programmes

We offer a special admission for many master's degree programmes taught in English.

Short study programmes

We offer short study programmes taught in English, where Norwegian language courses can be included.

Full Norwegian language courses

We offer full Norwegian language courses from the autumn semester. These courses are credit-bearing. 

These courses are part of the short programmes on bachelor's and master's level, cf. above.

Short Norwegian language courses

We offer short, informal Norwegian courses as digital courses from July or as in-person courses from September. These courses are not credit-bearing.

Other programmes

Our one-year programmes, bachelor's degree programmes, five-year master's degree programmes and professional programmes are taught in Norwegian. Applicants must meet the Norwegian and English language requirements. 

The next application deadline is 15 April 2023 for studies from the autumn 2023. You are welcome to apply next year.
