Courses for exchange students
At the University of Oslo exchange students may take courses across faculties and departments, depending on their academic background. The faculties are in charge of the courses and exams, and make transcripts for students.
Course selection process and registration
UiO offers a wide range of courses in English, and a variety of Norwegian Language courses for exchange students. See the list of courses offered in English to find course codes, course content, prerequisites, etc.
Nominated students must list the courses they wish to take in the application. The list is a preliminary indication and not the actual course registration. See how to apply for exchange
The faculty will pre-approve the listed courses to facilitate the course registration when this opens. Students who are admitted for exchange in the spring semester register for courses in Studentweb which opens 1 December.
The list of courses is updated with details about timetables and exam dates about one week before the course registration opens. Exchange students who register for courses online before arrival in Oslo may have a better chance of being admitted to the courses they wish to take.
Read more about how to register in Studentweb.
Learning Agreements for Erasmus+
