We are aware that the links in the description of Project 3 are dead. They point to the files already mentioned in earlier message where Project 3 was made public.
Project 3 is now available. This project has a self-evaluation form which you need to fill out. There is a skeleton code that you should use to help you structure the code and finally a visualisation module called FVis which is needed to produce movies of your simulation. The deadline for project 3 is May 24. We will present and give hints for Project 3 at the lectures this week (week 19).
Due to a misunderstanding and sickness the lectures today(22/4) and tomorrow(23/4) is cancelled. We will catch up on the syllabus during the next two weeks. Sorry to the ones of you who showed up today and no lecturer was present.
Summer Internship at ITA, 2026
We are seeking highly motivated and talented students in astrophysics to join our teams here at the ROsseland Center for Solar physics (RoCS) this summer. During this paid summer internship, which lasts 4-6 weeks, you will work on a project supervised by an experienced researcher. It is an excellent opportunity for students who are interested in pursuing a career in astrophysics, as exemplified by Semya Amouche Tønnessen who completed two summer internships before starting his current Ph.D. here at ITA.
There are three projects available. The exact period of the project will be agreed upon with the supervisor if you are selected. These summer internships are intended for students that are either already master's students at RoCS, or are finishing their Bachelor's in Physics and Astronomy at UiO this summer and/or w...
