The compulsory exercise can be handed in directly to me at the start of the lecture on thursday.

I have posted three more notes at the usual place. One on the definition of supports for L^1_loc functions, one on inner products, and one on compactness in metric spaces.

A handwriten note on the most useful Poincare inequality has been posted.

Please send me an email if you want to change the thursday lecture to another time, for instance wednesday afternoon. Depending on demand, maybe it can be done.

Contrary to the impression I might have given, the course will be taught in such a way that it is not necessary to follow or have followed MAT3400/4400. Necessary material on Banach and Hilbert spaces will be reviewed during the course, starting next week. A background equivalent to MAT2400 is sufficient.
