MEK4420 – Marine Hydrodynamics
Schedule, syllabus and examination date
Potential theory, forces on bodies in currents, added mass. Waves and wave forces, wave energy, ship waves, nonlinear effects, forces on bodies in regular and irregular waves.
To give the students a relevant theoretical knowledge for calculation of environmental loads on marine constructions and ships.
Students who are admitted to study programmes at UiO must each semester register which courses and exams they wish to sign up for in Studentweb.
If you are not already enrolled as a student at UiO, please see our information about admission requirements and procedures.
