It has come to our attention that some of you have been experiencing problems accessing your VM instances.

We have identified an issue with the configuration system which randomly causes this to happen.

We have now published a new master image labelled version 2 which includes a workaround for the problem.

If you have not yet created an instance, or are locked out of your instance:

Launch a new instance based on the "IN3230/4230 master image version 2" image.

If you have already created an instance, and have been able to access it:

Please run the following command to avoid any future issues related to this:

sudo systemctl disable openvswitch-switch.service

The mandatory assignment has now been published, see the link in the sidebar.

The deadline is on Friday September 20th, 23:59.

We will give a short presentation of the assignment during this Friday's plenary session.

Regarding the group sessions ("orakel"):

Despite being labeled "oracle" sessions in the course schedule, we teach regular group (classroom) sessions in this course. You may of course also ask questions about the deliverable assignment during these sessions.

We encourage everyone to participate in the group sessions and would like to remind you that their contents form part of the course curriculum.

Because we did not have time to cover raw sockets during Friday's plenary session, we have decided to extend the deadline for delivering the mandatory assignment until Friday, September 20th.

Vi skal benytte oss av virtuelle maskiner på universitetenes felles skytjeneste UH-IaaS i forbindelse med den obligatoriske oppgaven og hjemmeeksamen.

For at vi skal kunne ordne riktig tilgang til ressurser i UH-IaaS er det nødvendig for alle som tar emnet å gjennomføre en førstegangsregistrering i UH-IaaS. Vennligst se dette skjemaet, som skal sendes inn samtidig med at dere registrerer dere.

Legg merke til at plenumsgruppen vil gå for første gang fredag 30. august.

De første gruppetimene ("orakel" i timeplanen) vil gå uken etter, dvs. mandag 02.09 og torsdag 05.09.
