The syllabus consists of Chapters 1-9 except Section 1.7.
In this version I have added references for Theorem 9.1.1, supplied a proof of Lemma 9.2.2, and made a few minor corrections.
In this version I have made minor corrections and improvements in Sections 8.2, 8.3, and 8.5.
In this version I have added two clarifying definitions at the end of Section 7.5 and also made minor improvements and corrections in Sections 7.4 - 7.6.
In this version I have added more motivation in Section 7.3 and rewritten the proof of Lemma 7.3.2.
There will be no lecture on Monday 10 November. Instead, there will be an additional lecture on Thursday 13 November 14-16 in NHA 1020.

In Problem 3, the manifold should be a regular surface, see the corrected assignment.
Here are the assignment problems. The solutions should be submitted through Canvas by Thursday the 6th November at 14:30.

To compensate for the lecture that was cancelled last week, there will be an additional lecture on Friday the 17th October 10-12 in NHA 1119.
In this new version I have made minor corrections in Chapters 1-3 and added two problems in Chapter 8. The latest version will always be available under "Teaching resources".
I am sorry that I have to cancel the lecture tomorrow 24th September. To compensate for this there will be an additional lecture later in the semester.
The final exam will be held on 9-10 December.
The assignment problems will be posted no later than the 23rd October and the solutions should be returned through Canvas by the 6th November.
The final exam will be oral. The date(s) for the exam will be announced later in the semester.
The course will be based on my lecture notes. (For reasons unknown to me, the Syllabus has instead shown the textbooks used in 2023 - this has now been corrected. I apologize for the confusion.)
The final chapter of the lecture notes, on Hyperbolic geometry, is still incomplete. I intend to finish it well before we get that far in the text.
