Pilates - Athletica Centrum

Course description

Pilates was developed by the German Joseph Pilates in the early 20th century. In recent years, the training method has become increasingly popular, because it helps prevent stress-related disorders while also getting stronger and more defined abdominal muscles. By actively using your breath, you can more easily connect with your core muscles, so you can train your back and abdomen as effectively as possible. The method is equally useful whether you have a sedentary job or a job that requires you to stand, walk and lift a lot.

In the course, you will learn the most important basic exercises. We will lie on the mats in the training room and will also do some exercises standing.

Wear regular workout clothes. You do not need shoes, but rather wear a pair of socks that prevent you from slipping. Also bring a small towel to put on the mat.
