Paid participation in student panels
Do you want to help improve the MA programs at IMK?
The Department of Media and Communication invites participants to join the student panels for the MA programs at IMK. The student panels are co-designers in the development of the MA programs at IMK. Participation involves meetings with study program leaders and teachers. The panels are independent of the IMK board and the MA advisory board, and work together with program leaders and teachers in the development of teaching and course and program design. The panel will also initiate and organize social-academic student gatherings and activities at IMK.
The work is paid on an hourly basis. The scope will be approximately 20-50 hours per semester.

Actionfilm seminar at Cinemateket in Oslo
Time: Saturday and Sunday Oct 31st - Nov 1st

What is it about action films and action heroes that comes across as so cool? Norsk filmklubbforbund and Z filmtidsskrift invite you to a weekend of films and talksto learn more about the many tropes and surprises that action films have to offer.
The films we are screening:
The Long Kiss Goodnight (Renny Harlin, 1996) will be screened on 35mm
Tai Chi Master (Yuen Woo-Ping, 1993)
John Wick (Chad Stahelski, 2014)
Løp, Lola løp (Tom Tykwer, 1998) will be screened on 35mm
Before each film, there will be a talk in English by international experts that are coming to talk about the aesthetics of action, gender and martial arts films. These are our speakers
- Professor Yvonne Tasker, Chair of media and communication at University of Leeds (will give two talks)
- Dr. Lindsay Steenberg, associate professor in film studies at Oxford Brookes University
- Dr. Wayne Wong, lecturer in East Asian Studies at The University of Sheffield.

Mentorstilling ved HF
Student ved Det humanistiske fakultet søker mentor for høstsemesteret 2026.
Arbeidet utgjør: ca. 12 timer i mnd.
Kvalifikasjoner:
Mentor bør være en erfaren student og ha god struktur.
Arbeidsoppgaver:
- Hjelpe til med å organisere og strukturere studiehverdagen
- Hjelpe til med overholdelse av frister
Honorar: Arbeidet honoreres på oppdragskontrakt med tilsvarende timesats, 250 kr/ timen.

Student Movie Night
The American Lutheran Congregation church in Oslo invites you to a movie night for students on October 30, at 17:30. The event will takeplace at the American Lutheran Congregation church, Fritznersgate 15, 0264 Oslo.

The Kunstverein Tiergarten exhibition Future Archives / Archive Futuresopened this week at the rk – Gallery for Contemporary Art in Berlin. The exhibition includes a piece by Bernard Geoghegan, co-constructed with Klara Källström, Thobias Fäldt and Thomas Sauvin.
Marita Skjuvemottok H.M. Kongens gullmedalje for PhD-avhandlingen «A Qualitative Exploration of Human - Chatbot Relationship Development». Petter Bae Brandtzæg var medveileder for avhandlingen.

Er du student og vil jobbe med sosiale medier for UiO?
Vi søker to studenter som vil være med på å lage innhold til UiOs sosiale medier.
Det er en fordel om du har laget innhold tidligere og kan litt foto- og videoredigering, men du trenger ikke å ha mye erfaring. Det viktigste er at du har mange gode ideer og lyst til å lage godt innhold. Vi gir deg opplæring underveis.
Du må kunne skrive og snakke norsk, og være komfortabel med å lage innhold på engelsk ved behov.
Stillingen er på 8–10 timer i uka, med mulighet for mer i travle perioder som studiestart. Du blir en del av UiOs sentrale SoMe-team og får praktisk erfaring med innholdsproduksjon, historiefortelling og sosiale medier.
Stillingen passer særlig godt for deg som fortsatt har et ferskt blikk på studenttilværelsen.
Du ansettes på timeskontrakt i en periode på inntil et år. Lønn fastsettes avhengig av tidligere relevant erfaring (innenfor et spenn som vil tilsvare kr. 394 100 - 432 800 i 100% stilling).
