Annual research money
A fixed sum is awarded to all permanent academic employees and postdocs/doctoral research fellows financed by the basic award at the Department. The fixed sum can't be transferred from one year to another, the only exception is for doctoral research fellows.
Rates 2020:
- 20 000 NOK for permanent academic employees
- 20 000 NOK for postdocs and doctoral research fellows
- Emeriti can apply for up to 5 000 in research related activities. You can not apply for funding for the purchase of computer equipment for the funds
- Staff in adjunct positions (professor II's) may apply for funding from their respective section
How to use your annual research money
Please contact Head of Office Nina Rundgren for your personal accounting number ("tiltakskode").
The funds can be used to cover expenses for research related activitites like hiring of research assistants, literature, shorter travels, meetings, copy editing, conferences and other activities in connection with research.
Please note the following when placing lunch orders or dinner reservations: Because of Auditor General's remarks, UiO now require attendance lists to all events/meetings when ordering food and restaurant visits (i.e. invitations with name/email where recipients/recipient lists appear). The program of the event should ideally also be attached. Remember to write whether the event is for internal participant (UiO staff) or external participants (or both).

Internal Research Funding 2020
We have allocated NOK 600 000 in research funding to be distributed in each section. Head of section will inform on how to apply for this money. The Section for Clinical Practice and Training receives NOK 250 000.
The Department of Psychology will announce a call for funding aimed at strategic research activities. NOK 1 000 000 is reserved for this action.
