New Norwegian knowledge archive (NVA) replaces Cristin

Dean of Research Jan Bjålie, who sits on Sikt’s portfolio board for research and knowledge resources, explains the transition that is taking place to the new Norwegian knowledge archive, which will go live in June.

Studies

Medical training at UiO Campus South among the most popular in the country

According to the Norwegian Universities and Colleges Admission Service, the application option “UiO Campus South autumn” is the third most popular study programme per place of study. Applicant numbers are also excellent for the bachelor’s degree in health management and health economics, with an increase of 22% and more first-choice applicants. International studies have faced a tougher admissions situation with the introduction of tuition fees, which has not unexpectedly resulted in lower applicant numbers for the international master’s programmes. Read the full article on the Studies website.

New course for master’s students in Europe

studenter på campusThe Centre for Sustainable Healthcare Education (SHE) is hosting an exciting new Honours Certificate (one of five at UiO) for master’s students. The certificate is being funded by Erasmus and goes into considerable depth regarding reflections on the relationship between sustainability and democracy across national borders. All subjects are taught at both UiO and the universities of Belgrade, Perugia, Agder and Paris Cite. Application deadline 1 July 2024.
