Welcome to UiO's data management pages maintained by the research data group at Digital Scholarship Center.
What is research data management?
Research data management goes beyond data protection and privacy and includes, among others, data documentation, organization, licensing, sharing and publishing. It helps improve reproducibility and reuse of data as well as research visibility (e.g. through higher citation rates).
UiO requires researchers to implement good research data management practices and follow international standards such as the FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable) principles. Good research data management also plays an essential role in Open Science, which is increasingly important for researchers from all disciplines.
