Depending on personal circumstances this might involve further education, starting or continuing a professional career, but most importantly, creating a supportive social network. We find it important that the family members of our employees also thrive in Oslo. Therefore, UiO is currently establishing a Dual Career & Spouse Network to help your partner feel at home in Oslo/Norway.
We want the Dual Career and Spouse Network to be a service that helps partners/spouses of international UiO employees settle into life in Oslo/Norway. Through a mix of social community and career support, we hope to help them build new networks and find exciting opportunities in their new life in Oslo. The network’s activities may include webinars/seminars, trainings and social events. Members are welcome to suggest topics and co-organize activities.
Dual Career & Spouse Network members will have diverse backgrounds from around the world, but are united by their shared experiences as internationals in Oslo. We strongly encourage them to join the community to expand their social network as a newcomer to Norway, and to increase their knowledge about the Norwegian job market and society.
