1: Thank you for your interest in the University of Oslo, UiO. We do not have Business School, but a Department of Economics. Anyway, it is the policy of UiO that academic partnerships and formal cooperation activities should be based on pre-existing mutual interest for cooperation between our own and the cooperating institution's researchers and departments. For the time being, we are not aware of any such contact or cooperation between our own researcher groups and departments and their counterparts at your university. Please tell me if this is not correct. Should such cooperation develop we will be happy to meet you at a later stage.

2: First I would like to thank you for your request and for the interest in cooperation with us in the field of Economics. Second I must inform you that for the moment we are almost not creating any new agreements in the frame of Erasmus+ because we already have a very large portfolio of such agreements, which requires a lot of resources to manage. We do exceptions from time to time, but only if there already is some kind of academic cooperation or mutual academic interests in advance. For the time being I regret that you will have to look for other partner than us. I wish you good luck and all success within Erasmus+.

3:

Thank you for your for e-mail and for your interest in cooperating with us in the field of Psychology, International Relations and Business Administration. I am taking care of the Erasmus+ agreements at UiO, faculty of Social Sciences, and have therefore received your request.

For the moment we have unfortunately not the capacity to start a new collaboration with other partners than those we already have. Priority is given to partners which are important for strategic research and educational reasons or for diplomatic reasons. It is also the policy of UiO that academic partnerships and formal cooperation activities should be based on pre-existing mutual interest for cooperation between our own and the cooperating institution's researchers and departments. For the time being, we are not aware of any such contact or cooperation between our own researcher groups and departments and their counterparts at your university.

I regret that you have to look for other partners than us, but I wish you anyway good luck and all success with Erasmus+.

Best regards

Henvendelser om generelt akademisk samarbeid

Greetings from Oslo and thank you for your request. My name is XX, and your request has been forwarded to me for a follow up since I am the International coordinator at the faculty of Social Sciences.

Since you mentioned researchers at the Department of Economics I have asked them if they could be interesting in hosting your visit, and eventually enter a formalized agreement with your university. The feedback from them is, for the moment, that they do not have the capacity to start a new collaboration with other partners than they already have. Priority is given to partners which are important for strategic research and educational reasons or for diplomatic reasons. Therefore I regret that we cannot facilitate your visit this year.

One general note; The tradition here in Oslo is that initiatives to start international collaboration in research and/or education mostly is coming directly from researchers in one of our departments, and not through general requests to the university. It means that some form of academic contact or collaboration should already be in place a in advance.

If any of your researchers has an academic cooperation with colleagues here in our university, the chance for establishing formal copperation is much better.
