Results from final exam

By now you will likely have recieved grades in StudentWeb, but in addition to this we have also now posted a detailed breakdown on the points you recieved for each subproblem and the total points. This overview is structured as it was for midterms as well. 

The points given on each subproblem is an average of two scores from two examiners. This is why you may see some quarter point scores, as each examiner only gives points in half point increments. We have also gone over any significant discrepancies, so there aren't any differences between each examiners scores that would have resulted in a grade change. 

The "Total" column is the total points for the final exam, and the "Total % including midterm" column is the % of total points obtained on the final and midterm exams combined, where the midterm exam has been weighted 20% and the final exam 80%.

Remaining problem session

There will be no problem session the Thursday of this week (14th of May) as that day is a national holiday. 

The final problem session will be on the following Thursday as scheduled. 

Since this is the last problem session, we will be focusing on exam preparations. I intend to give you some tips for the exam and say a few things about how we grade the exams. I will also be answering any questions you have about the exam, so feel free to come prepared. 
I expect this will not take three hours, so the remaining part of the problem session will be used to work on exam problems. Since last years exam was the first exam after field theory was introduced to the course, I recommend you work on that exam in the problem session. 

I think it could also be a good idea to talk about grading with a specific example in mind, so we will do this with the last problem on last years exam nearing the end of the problem session.
